Exploring    creative     depths

A   lasting   journey

Why is exploring our creative depths in theater so important? The performing arts encourages students to explore their emotions, expand their imagination and help them to develop their own, unique voice. Each discipline of drama, music, dance, and stage production engage a student's brain, body and emotions in different ways to encourage their confidence and find joy in self-expression.
It is our hope that the theater education your student receives at our various district buildings not only teach about the practice of theater arts— but how to stage, direct, build, act, sing, and dance in musical theater or a play. These practices are also to encourage students to develop a life-long love for the theater arts to continue to pursue them in a collegiate or professional manner. Along with mastering skills that will help them prepare the smallest to largest of productions or presentations for schools or communities with a specific goal of changing knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and develop a strong sense of self using advanced speaking skills to do so.
